Main Theraputic Properties: Antiseptic, Digestive stimulant, Lymphatic decongestant. Contraindications: Avoid exposure to direct sunlight and sunbed rays for 12 hours after application (phototoxic). Oil Appearance: Yellow-Green. Chakra: Solar Plexus & Sacral. Chinese Element: Wood (& Earth) Grapefruit comes from a cultivated tree that grows up to 10 meters in height. Grapefruit has a fresh, sweet, clean citrus scent. The main origins for Grapefruit are Italy, Israel and USA, though now South Africa is coming strongly into the market.  We have selected this excellent American product for its clean, fresh odour. If you need a pick-me-up first thing in the morning, try adding 3 drops of Grapefruit, 2 drops of Rosemary and 1 drop of Bergamot, blended in a teaspoon of Sweet Almond oil, to a bath. Alternatively stir the same essential oils into a dose of unfragranced shower gel. To improve the appearance of cellulite, blend 3 drops of Grapefruit and 3 drops of Juniperberry with 15ml of Coconut oil and massage the area vigorously. Always try to work in the direction of the heart. In a burner or diffuser, Grapefruit blends well with the other citrus oils and herbs such as Rosemary, Clary Sage, Thyme or Lavender.

Jasmine has a rich, heady, floral aroma. It is calming and excellent for all skin types. It is also a well known aphrodisiac.

Ingredients

Jasmine Essential Oil, Light Coconut Oil.

Uses Jasmine Absolute is calming and excellent for all skin types. It is also a good oil to use during childbirth. For convenience we have diluted this essential oil to a ratio of 5% in Light Coconut Oil, it can therefore be used directly on the skin as a perfume. Alternatively, for a luxurious massage oil, blend 1 drop of Jasmine, 1 drop of Sandalwood and 3 drops of Mandarin in 10ml of Peach Kernel oil.
Country of Origin: Egypt. Plant Family: Oleaceae Method of Extraction: Alcohol extraction from the concrete made from the flowers. Main Theraputic Properties: Analgesic, Antispasmodic, Aphrodisiac, Calmative, Uterine tonic. Contraindications: Non toxic and non irritant in prescribed doses. Did you know: In India, Jasmine is referred to as 'Queen of the night' due to it's scent being stronger after sunset. Oil Appearance: Dark yellow. Chakra: Sacral & Base. Chinese Element: Fire (& Water) Jasmine Absolute is extracted by alcohol extraction from a 'concrete' made with the flowers of the plant, picked by hand, only in the evening. This process is what makes Jasmine so costly. The Jasmine we used in this product is 100% pure and natural.
Vetiver is a heavy, viscous oil with a rich undertone of "precious wood notes" and is very useful to calm and balance the mind and body. It is also good for dry skin conditions and aching joints and muscles.
Country of Origin: Indonesia (Java) Plant Family: Poaceae (Gramineae). Method of Extraction: The oil is steam distilled from the dried roots. Main Theraputic Properties: Calmative, Digestive stimulant, Antispasmodic, Immune tonic, Antirheumatic. Contraindications: Non toxic and non irritant in prescribed doses. Oil Appearance: Dark Brown to Amber. Chakra: Base. Chinese Element: Earth. Vetiver grows in many parts of India, Sri Lanka and other parts of Asia. The rootlets are dried, cut and chopped, then soaked in water prior to distillation. The most important producers being Haiti and Java.

This Vetiver is Indonesian. It has a smoky note which is linked to the tradition of Javan producers burning off the grass before digging up the roots. Haitian producers cut the grass and use it for feeding cattle or for grass mats, so the oil has a different aroma, though the oil has been scarce for some time.

As Vetiver is extremely viscous, a large nozzle in the bottle will help to some extent, but it may require gentle warming of the bottle in your hands or warm water to pour a few drops out. Blend 1 drop each of Vetiver, Jasmine and Sandalwood in 10ml of Peach Kernel oil for a luxurious massage oil. To help shrug off aches and pains on cold winter nights blend a teaspoon of Sweet Almond oil, add 1 drop each of Vetiver, Patchouli and Lavender and swish into a very warm bath.
Tea Tree is deeply cleansing, thus an important oil for use in infections, problem skin, colds and flu and boosting the immune system. It is often used in hand washes and skin care.
Country of Origin: Australia Plant Family: Myrtaceae. Method of Extraction: The oil is steam distilled from the leaves of the bush.

Main Theraputic Properties: Antibacterial, Antifungal, Anti-infectious, Immune tonic, Antiviral, Analgesic.

Chakra: Throat.

Chinese Element: Metal (& Fire).

For problem skin, blend 2 drops of Tea Tree in 5ml (a teaspoon) of Jojoba oil - apply twice daily.

Try a weekly steam facial using 1 drop of Tea Tree with 2 drops of Mandarin in a bowl of just-boiled water. Tea Tree may irritate some sensitive skins and, although a very small amount may be dabbed neat on spots, insect bites and cold sores, most people would not recommend this for sensitive skin types.

To help keep feet fresh and healthy, try using 2 drops of Tea Tree with 2 drops of Lemon in a foot bath.

To maintain healthy hair for children and adults alike, dilute 5 drops of Tea Tree, 3 drops of Geranium and 2 drops of Lavender in 20ml of Coconut oil. Massage into the scalp and leave for as long as possible before washing out thoroughly with a mild shampoo.
