Clear, sweet, spicy and yellowish in colour. There are approximately 5 types of Basil essential oil on the market today. We have selected a True Sweet Basil Oil (Ocimum Basilicum) known as Linalol type. This is the safest and most pleasant of the Basil oils used in Aromatherapy.
To create an atmosphere for focus and study, try adding 1 drop of Basil, 3 drops of Lemon and 1 drop of Peppermint to some water in an oil burner.

The distillation of the oil is mainly undertaken in Spain, but also occurs elsewhere in the Mediterranean region.There are many different species of Thyme and within Thymus Vulgaris there are a variety of chemotypes that change the constituent make-up of the oil significantly. The most common chemotypes are "Thymol" and "Carvacrol", which contain high levels of toxic Phenols (up to 60% Thymol and Carvacrol). Absolute Aromas offers "Sweet Thyme", which is sweeter, less toxic and less irritant than the Thymol and Carvacrol types, with a maximum 3% concentration of these components. For problem skin, blend 2 drops of Tea Tree in 5ml (a teaspoon) of Jojoba oil - apply twice daily. Try a weekly steam facial using 1 drop of Tea Tree with 2 drops of Mandarin in a bowl of just-boiled water. Tea Tree may irritate some sensitive skins and, although a very small amount may be dabbed neat on spots, insect bites and cold sores, most people would not recommend this for sensitive skin types. To help keep feet fresh and healthy, try using 2 drops of Tea Tree with 2 drops of Lemon in a foot bath. To maintain healthy hair for children and adults alike, dilute 5 drops of Tea Tree, 3 drops of Geranium and 2 drops of Lavender in 20ml of Coconut oil. Rosemary is an evergreen shrub which grows up to 180cm in height. This oil is clear in colour.
There are three main types of Rosemary. The best one for aromatherapy use is the eucalyptol (cineole) chemotype, from Tunisia, Morcco and Italy. The camphor chemotype comes from Spain, and the verbenone chemotype comes from Algeria and Corsica. The latter is contra-indicated due to neuro-toxicity. We supply the finest quality Tunisian Rosemary, which is a superior product.
Try adding 3 drops of Rosemary, 2 drops of Lemon and 1 drop of Peppermint to a tepid bath before an important occasion.
Adding a few drops to the final rinsing water for dark hair can help keep a natural shine.
To aid concentration, in the office or when studying, add 3 drops of Rosemary and two drops of Grapefruit to the water in an oil burner of diffuser. Peppermint is also a good oil for concentraion and blends well with Rosemary.
Use a blend of 2 drops Rosemary, 2 Drops Black Pepper and 3 drops Lavender in 15ml of Peach Kernel, and massage into over worked muscles. |
