A cutaneous solution for the treatment of warts. Suitable from 2 years of age. Children should be treated under the supervision of an adult.

Directions For Use

Soak the wart in warm water for 5 minutes prior to application.
Dry gently using a towel that will not be used by anyone else to avoid contamination.
Gently file the wart with an emery board or pumice stone to remove hard skin.
Carefully apply the solution to the wart.
Be careful not to touch the surrounding healthy skin.
Allow to dry thoroughly before covering with a plaster.

Continue treatment until either the wart has cleared completely and normal skin ridge lines can be seen, or the wart has been treated for 12 weeks.

Flammable; keep away from fire, ensure that the bottle is capped tightly and stored upright.
Store below 25ºC.
Close cap firmly after use.

Avoid contact with clothing, fabric and plastics as well as jewellery.
Do not use on open skin wounds, moles, birthmarks, warts with hairs growing from them, warts on the face or those near the anal or genital areas, and do not use on warts with red edges or those with an unusual colour.

You Must Be Aged Over 18 Years to Purchase This Product.  Exputex contains the active ingredient carbocisteine which breaks down mucus. Who can use? This product can be used by adults and children over 2 years of age. How to use?
  • Children 2 – 5 years give one 2.5ml spoonful 2 to 3 times daily.
  • Children 6 – 12 years give one 5ml spoonful 2 to 3 times daily.
  • Adults and children over 12 years initially take 15ml (three 5ml spoonful’s) three times a day, reducing to 10ml (two 5ml spoonful’s) three times daily when the satisfacory response is obtained.
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding. Exputex should not be used if you are pregnant or breastfeeding unless directed by your doctor. Driving or using machinery. Exputex does not normally produce any effects on ability or drive or use machinery. Possible side effects As with all medicines, Exputex Oral Solution can have side effects. If you experience any serious side effects, please contact your doctor right away. KEEP ALL MEDICINES OUT OF THE EACH OF CHILDREN. Take Care When Using Salactol Paint Keep away from the eyes and mucous membranes. The gel should be applied carefully to the wart, verruca, corn or callus only, to avoid possible irritation of surrounding normal skin. Some mild, transient irritation may be expected, but in cases of more severe or persistent pain/irritation, the treatment should be suspended and/or discontinued. Extremely flammable. Avoid spillage. Avoid inhaling vapour. Replace cap tightly after use. When NOT To Use Salactol Wart Paint Not to be used on or near the face, intertriginous or anogenital regions or by diabetics or individuals with impaired peripheral blood circulation. Not to be used on moles, birthmarks, hairy warts or on any other skin lesions for which Salactol is not indicated. Not to be used in cases of sensitivity to any of the ingredients. KEEP ALL MEDICINES OUT OF THE EACH OF CHILDREN.

  • Use once daily, usually at night.
  • Soak the affected site in warm water for a few minutes then pat dry.
  • Gently rub the surface of the wart, verruca, corn or callus with a pumice stone or manicure emery board to remove any hard skin.
  • Carefully apply a few drops of Salactol to the lesion and allow each drop to dry before applying the next one.
  • Only apply Salactol to the affected area. Take care to protect the surrounding skin
  • Plantar warts should be covered with an adhesive plaster. Leave for 24 hours. Repeat the procedure daily, after first removing any plaster
