ContentA good night’s sleep is vital for both your baby and for you, so our bedtime pillow spray is the perfect finish to your baby’s bedtime routine to help achieve this. When used as part of a regular bedtime routine, it will soothe littles ones for sweet dreams at bedtime, and a well-deserved night of rest for you as well. A wonderful citrus aroma which uplifts, cleanses and tones. May Chang is an excellent room deodoriser and insect repellent.
Plant Family: Lauraceae. Method of Extraction: The oil is steam distilled from the pepper shaped fruits. Properties: antiseptic, non-irritant, astringent. Contraindications: May irritate the skin or mucous membrane. Do not use on sensitive or damaged skin. Oil Appearance: Pale Yellow. Oil of May Chang is a comparatively new essential oil to the West. It is steam-distilled from the pepper-shaped fruits (Cubeba) of this tropical tree. The strong lemon odour of the main constituent (Citral - 75%) dominates and hence the oil resembles Lemongrass, although it has a rounder and more fruity aroma. While the synonym Litsea Citrata is often given for May Chang, Litsea Citrata is a related species with a lower Citral content. Use 5 or 6 drops in an oil burner to ward of insects. For oily or problem skin, try adding a few drops of May Chang to skin cleansing products to boost astringent and anti-bacterial properties, (not suitable for sensitive skin).
Lemongrass can be very refreshing and relaxing and is commonly used as an insect repellent. Lemongrass oil helps to revive a tired mind and is a great tonic to revitalise the body.
Country of Origin: Bhutan. Plant Family: Poaceae (Gramineae) Method of Extraction: The oil is Steam distilled from the leaves. Main Theraputic Properties: Antibacterial, Antifungal, Anti-inflammatory, Antispasmodic, Astringent, Digestive stimulant, Insecticide. Contraindications: Do not use on children under the age of 2. Do not use on sensitive or damaged skin. Avoid using on people with prostatic hyperplasia or glucoma. Do not use at more than 1% dilution on the skin. Oil Appearance: Yellow to amber. Chakra: Throat and Base. Chinese Element: Earth (& Fire). Lemongrass has a fresh, clean, citrus aroma. Lemongrass is produced from two totally distinct botanical species of Cymbopogon. Citratus is found only under cultivation, particularly in Guatemala. Despite early origins in Sri Lanka and India, it is sometimes confusingly referred to as West Indian Lemongrass. The other type is Cymbopogon Flexuosus which is only cultivated in relatively limited areas of India, particularly Kerala. Try adding one drop each of Lemongrass, Lavender and Geranium to a bowl of warm water and soaking tired feet for 10 minutes. A few drops of Lemongrass and Cedarwood in an oil burner will help keep insects away during the summer months.
Deeply moisturising natural and naturally derived ingredients soothe and hydrate all skin types – even dry skin, sensitive skin and even safe for people who may be prone to eczema.  A light but rich formula, it absorbs quickly after each application. Cocoa butter (ours is from West Africa) rich in antioxidant Vitamin Eand Shea Butter (ours is from Ghana) melt at body temperature and leave a velvety finish on skin once absorbed, meaning it doesn’t leave a greasy finish but an invisible film on the skin to prevent water loss.
Juniperberry is best known for cleansing and encouraging elimination, ideal for beating those morning-after blues and also a good oil for detoxing. Juniper is also a good tonic for the kidneys, it's antibacterial properties can help with urinary problems.

Did you know: In the Middle Ages, Juniper was used to relieve headaches and urinary pain. Oil Appearance: Colourless. Chakra: Base & Sacral. Chinese Element: Water (& Metal) Juniper is a prickly evergreen shrub (or small tree). It grows to a height of up to 12 meters. Juniperberry has a bittersweet, fresh, astringent aroma. There are two types of oil produced from the Juniper plant. One is the superior quality Juniperberry oil, made from the berries. The other type is often referred to as Juniper oil, an inferior product distilled from the twigs and leaves.  Some Juniper oils are produced as a by-product of the fermentation process. Our Juniperberry oil is steam distilled from premier-grade Juniper berries, giving an excellent, high quality oil, ideal for aromatherapy. The Juniper fruits are widely used for gin production. Try a vigorous massage with a blend of 2 drops of Juniperberry and 2 drops of Grapefruit in 10ml of Coconut oil. Or add this to an unfragranced shower gel, the same essential oils have a cleansing and refreshing effect. Also, after any period of indulgence, try making the following body massage oil a New Years resolution: Blend together 30ml of Peach Kernel oil, 4 drops of Juniperberry, 4 drops of Rosemary and 3 drops of Geranium. Apply daily, preferably in the morning.
