Dosage and use:
Adults:
1 drop in each eye, up to 5 times daily. The drops can be used for a maximum of 30 consecutive days. If your symptoms persist for more than 3 consecutive days without any improvement, or get worse, or if eyes become inflamed, you must contact your optician or healthcare professional.

Ingredients
This medicinal product contains 38-42 vol % ethanol (alcohol), i.e. up to 163mg per 2 sprays, equivalent to 3.7ml beer (less than a teaspoon) or 1.5ml wine (less than half a teaspoon) per dose.
Usage
Adults and the elderly: 2 sprays 6-10 times daily.
Not for use in children or those under 18 years of age.

Plantago is one of the few herbs that penetrate the middle and inner ear canal. Its natural antibacterial property helps to counter all ear infections. It has mucous membrane soothing properties which may help people alleviate the suffering associated with tinnitus and also helps catarrh due to chest infections and nasal congestion.
The soothing action of Plantago is attributed to its mucilage content together with iridoids which have an anti-inflammatory activity helping to promote tissue repair. This makes Plantago Tincture extremely useful for alleviating sinus congestion and post nasal drip which often leads to other complications such as chesty coughs and catarrh.
Plantago Tincture, due to its soothing action, may also benefit tinnitus sufferers.

Ingredients
The active ingredient contained in Atrosan is the extract from Devil's claw root, also otherwise known as Harpagophytum procumbens root.
1 film-coated tablet contains 480mg of extract (as dry extract) from Devil's claw root (Harpagophytum procumbens D.C. and/or H. zeyheri L.Decne.) (1.5-3.0:1).
Extraction solvent: Ethanol 60% V/V.
The other ingredients used for the tablet are lactose, maize starch, microcrystalline cellulose, precipitated silica, colloidal silica and magnesium stearate (vegetable source). The tablet coating contains talc, titanium dioxide, macrogol and hypromellose.
How to Use
Adults and the elderly: Take one tablet twice daily immediately after food. Not for use in children or those under 18. For oral use only. Don't take more than the recommended dose.

Stinging Nettle, Urtica dioca, increases the excretion of chlorides, uric acid and other acid metabolites from the body, which may help to alleviate the symptoms associated with gout and arthritis. The same cleansing action is of value in chronic skin conditions, especially the itchy complaints such as eczema and nettle rash, where it also appears to possess an anti-allergic action.
An acute attack of gout occurs as a result of uric acid crystals being deposited in joint tissues. This occurs most predominantly at the base of the big toe, but gout can affect any joint of the body.
White blood cells ingest these crystalline deposits, releasing enzymes which then cause inflammation. The detoxifying and cleansing action of Urtica eliminates the crystals. This same mechanism explains the benefits of using Stinging Nettle in those with rheumatism and arthritis.
Stinging Nettle has an antihistamine-type effect and may be of benefit in allergic conditions such as urticaria and hayfever.
Menopausal women may also find Stinging Nettle to be helpful in reducing hot flushes and night sweats. Stinging Nettle is also nutritionally rich in many vitamins and minerals and is often considered to be an excellent blood tonic.
Recent studies show that nettle extracts inhibit the synthesis of inflammatory prostaglandins and other compounds such as histamine thus decreasing inflammation.
