| Content | Vitamin D Plus is an Irish product containing the ingredients Vitamin D3, magnesium, Vitamin K2 and Vitamin B12. Formulated to include Vitamin D3 alongside some of the cofactors required to optimise Vitamin D absorption and utilisation.
It has been reported that up to 50% of people are unable to activate Vitamin D in their body because of insufficient magnesium levels, as Vitamin D needs magnesium-dependent enzymes to convert the inactive Vitamin D3 into the active form, calcitriol 1. Vitamin D also relies on Vitamin K to maintain calcium homeostasis in the body. Vitamin K2 may thus help in preventing any unhealthy calcium build-up and may mitigate risks associated with Vitamin D toxicity 2. Vitamins D and B12 contribute to the normal function of the immune system; magnesium and Vitamin B12 contribute to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue and help support the nervous system.
