| Content | The problem we find with silicone is that it can build up on the hair over time, making it feel heavy and limp. This usually results in a need for a different type of shampoo to get rid of the buildup caused by these types of conditioners. Instead, we wanted to make a leave-in conditioner from natural oils that won’t build up on the hair and actually penetrate and hydrate the hair instead of just making it feel nice for a while. Using natural ingredients is not only better for your hair and scalp, it’s also much better for the environment. Ever think about what happens to your wash products after they go down the drain? Silicones and other synthetic ingredients don’t break down into their natural component easily in the water system.
Our Protein Shot Leave-In Conditioner was made to complement our Cream Conditioner after we had so many super-fan customers asking for us for it. Most conditioners are made using silicone-based ingredients (usually big words that end with –cone) that coat the hair in something slippery, making it feel silky and smooth. They do a great job of making the hair feel hydrated and easy to detangle.

We believe that dual exfoliation (meaning organic acid and non-scratchy physical particles) is the most effective way to gently exfoliate. Our unique formula contains a very calculated percentage (1.5%) of Salicylic Acid (BHA) which are plant-derived organic acids. These organic acids are attracted to oil and exfoliate deep into the pores. It’s the best thing for a deep cleanse and to address impurities that already exist.
We’ve also used Rice Bran powder to physically exfoliate as it has a very delicate physical structure and contains antioxidant-rich, moisturising proteins. This is a “creamier” version of the original Udder Cream moisturiser. It is designed to moisturise very sensitive skin using natural ingredients.
We are using natural moisturising oils of Sweet Almond Oil (high in fatty acids), Raw Coconut Oil (often suggested by naturopaths on sensitive skin) and Olive Squalane which is an oil we naturally produce in our skin’s oil. We then add extras such as a very concentrated Aloe (100:1), Allantoin for skin softening, Milk Protein for skin elasticity and natural Vitamin E. We never use synthetic Vitamin E.
Staying true to our roots where the first creams were made for the founders mother with skin problems, we don’t use Phenoxyethanol, Parabens, Petrolatum and Paraffin Oil, Silicones, PEG’s and many more ingredients that can help make a cream less expensive and feel smoother.
