| Content | Almost all creams made to help with blemish-prone skin use Benzoyl Peroxide bleach. This is why hair will bleach to an orange colour when in contact with most blemish creams. Bleaches are cheap, but not the first choice in keeping skin looking young and healthy.
There can be a number of causes of blemishes, including sebum (skin's oil) becoming rancid, as well as bacteria on the skin causing pores to become infected. This is why an effective cleansing cream that targets both using natural ingredients is so much better than using bleach, in our opinion.
That’s why we set out to find a solution that was effective and good for the skin. We decided to take a different approach and create a cleansing cream that also works as a moisturiser. This usually results in a need for a different type of shampoo to get rid of the buildup caused by these types of conditioners. Instead, we wanted to make a leave-in conditioner from natural oils that won’t build up on the hair and actually penetrate and hydrate the hair instead of just making it feel nice for a while. Using natural ingredients is not only better for your hair and scalp, it’s also much better for the environment. Ever think about what happens to your wash products after they go down the drain? Silicones and other synthetic ingredients don’t break down into their natural component easily in the water system.
Our Protein Shot Leave-In Conditioner was made to complement our Cream Conditioner after we had so many super-fan customers asking for us for it. Most conditioners are made using silicone-based ingredients (usually big words that end with –cone) that coat the hair in something slippery, making it feel silky and smooth. They do a great job of making the hair feel hydrated and easy to detangle.
| What you wash your skin with determines so much more than whether it's clean or not. So, it’s a gosh darn mystery to us why cleansers are the most overlooked product (poor cleansers) in any skincare routine. Whilst skin needs to be clean, an overbearing cleanser can cause of dryness, irritation and even breakouts. Before you start blaming your skin troubles on everything else (although late night parties don’t do your skin any favours), there’s a more-likely culprit we can point our fingers at…the outdated commercial cleanser right under our noses. It’s common to think that blasting your skin to oblivion with harsh detergents or bleaching ingredients will keep the blackheads at bay and stop the pimples from parading, but we’re here to tell you that stripping the skin of its natural oils just leaves it dreadfully dry, damaged and dually distressed. The sebum in our skin (natural oils that it makes) helps keep it moisturised and in fine form, but if its constantly washed away, your skin could kick into oil-making overdrive, causing cloggage and congestion which can lead to even more breakouts – not exactly the result we were going for. But it’s hard to undo decades of skincare superstitions and the hard-wired hogwash swirling around out there. Old-school untruths like using oils on your skin gives you pimples, or that skin should feel tight after it’s been cleaned.
Our skin-friendly foaming formula is made with gentle, but effective, naturally derived cleansing ingredients that pump into a dreamy, foamy, meringue-y mousse. Designed to dissolve dirt, makeup and debris from the day and clear away dead skin cells to keep your face looking fierce and feeling fresh. We steer clear of harsh ingredients like SLS that foam up well but is also found in just about every hardcore cleansing product, including floor cleaners and engine degreasers – our face says no thanks! These are oily areas of the skin and sometimes yeast on the skin can become more prevalent and cause irritation. MooGoo Scalp Cream is a kind moisturising cream that helps return the skin to a healthy condition. Like all of the MooGoo Creams, Scalp Cream is safe and non-irritating. It can be used anywhere on the body. MooGoo Scalp Cream can also be used as a general moisturiser.
Directions
Apply cream topically as required to keep skin moist and healthy. Suitable for babies and adults. If symptoms persist, consult your health care practitioner. As with all natural products, patch test first to check for allergies.
