Holding four times more moisture than hyaluronic acid (*gasp*), polyglutamic acid is a hydration powerhouse – and then some.
Unlike hyaluronic acid, the magical ingredient has large molecules, allowing it to form a thin film on the skin’s surface to prevent water loss, while plumping the appearance of fine lines and brightening lacklustre or uneven complexions.
With a 3% polyglutamic acid complex, THE INKEY LIST’s formula leaves skin smooth, supple and oh-so hydrated – you can even combine it with their Hyaluronic Acid for a mega dose of moisturising goodness.
| The Nourishing Deep Pore Oil Cleanser is a way of cleansing the skin using oils and massage. Oil to cleanse the skin? It sounds counter-intuitive but oils can dissolve hardened oil that can get stuck in your pores, and also help remove other impurities such as built up dirt, sweat and makeup. The massage part helps the oil get deeper in your pores to do its work, and who doesn't love a good massage? This can be particularly helpful to those suffering from blemishes, or for removing heavy makeup and/or sunscreen. We made this using a mixture of drawing and moisturising oils. The drawing oils help pull out and dissolve old oils, and the moisturising oils, such as Jojoba Oil, are high in antioxidants and help keep skin hydrated and soft. This means you can cleanse and moisturise your skin at the same time! How’s that for multi-tasking? Use in the AM and the PM. After cleansing apply a small amount onto finger and gently pat around the contour of the eye. Can be combined with the use of other serums, follow with moisturisers.
Tips From THE INKEY LIST:
Dark circles and puffiness can be caused by a number of factors. If dark circles are due to genetics, caused by pigmentation underneath the eye, or puffiness under the eye caused by fat deposits, unfortunately, caffeine serum is unlikely to help.Caffeine is, however, a fantastic way to reduce puffiness and dark circles caused by a number of lifestyle factors such as lack of sleep, traveling, diet and high salt intake amongst others.
As an antioxidant, it also has preventative properties and can protect the eye area from free radicals and environmental stress. Ensuring you are always wearing sunscreen will also help.
For an extra soothing effect, a tip would be to keep your caffeine in the refrigerator and massage gently into the under-eye area to stimulate circulation.
