Chesty coughs can accompany colds or flu. They may come about as soon as the infection starts and could linger for long periods after the viruses have left your system. Herbal remedies have a long tradition of use in treating chesty coughs. Today, they are increasingly being chosen by people who prefer to use natural medicines and those wishing to avoid the use of synthetic cough remedies.
Bronchoforce Chesty Cough is a herbal remedy designed for the relief of chesty coughs, mucus coughs and catarrh. It helps relieve chesty coughs resulting from excess mucus or catarrh in the respiratory tract.
What is Bronchoforce?
Bronchoforce is a herbal remedy containing extracts of liquorice and freshly harvested Ivy and Thyme. At A.Vogel, we insist that only freshly picked Ivy and Thyme are used to make Bronchoforce. This ensures that the remedy obtained contains the active ingredients* that help relieve a chesty cough.

Dosage of Bronchoforce
Bronchoforce may be used by children (over 12 years of age), adults and the elderly. Take 20 drops 3 to 5 times daily.
This herbal remedy is for oral use only. Do not take more than the recommended dose.
1 ml of oral liquid contains:
376mg of tincture from fresh ivy herb (Hedera helix L.)
329mg of tincture from fresh aerial parts of thyme (Thymus vulgaris L.)
234 mg of tincture from liquorice root (Glycyrrhiza glabra L.)
Bronchoforce also contains Star Anise oil and Eucalyptus oil.
Is this the right product for me?
Use Bronchoforce if you are suffering from a chesty cough, also known as a mucus cough or a hacking cough. This herbal remedy helps lift mucus from the respiratory tract making it easier to expel from the body. Bronchoforce is the right remedy for you if you are experiencing catarrh or mucus in the throat or deeper down in your chest, with the feeling that you need to cough it up. It is also the right remedy if you are experiencing coughing spasms as your body tries to expel mucus.
If you have a tickly cough, Bronchosan Tickly Cough Syrup may be more suitable for you to use. Bronchosan soothes a tickly throat or one which is irritated due to coughing.
It is unlikely that you would need both remedies at the same time, but occasionally you might want to soothe the irritation in your throat with Bronchosan whilst Bronchoforce gets to work bringing up the mucus from your chest.
Who can’t take Bronchoforce
Do not use if you are hypersensitive to ivy, thyme or liquorice or to any of the other ingredients present in Bronchoforce
Do not use if you are already using another product containing liquorice (eg. liquorice confectionery / sweets)
If your symptoms worsen or persist for more than one week, a doctor or qualified practitioner should be consulted
If you are short of breath, or experiencing fever, see a doctor
If your sputum is foul smelling, see a doctor
Liquorice confectionery or medicines should be used with caution in those suffering from high blood pressure, kidney, liver or heart disease and those suffering from a low potassium level in their blood
Bronchoforce may be taken by people suffering from asthma. However, please bear in mind the following:
Coughs may be a sign of worsening asthma so if your cough does not improve with treatment, speak to your doctor
People with asthma may be more prone to allergies. These could be caused by a variety of triggers including foods, medicines as well as herbs. If this is your experience, you may wish to start off by trying a small dose of Bronchoforce (say 5 drops) to see if you are allergic to the herbs present which are Ivy, Thyme and liquorice
Like all medicines, this product can cause side effects although not everybody gets them.
The following minor side effects can occur, although the likelihood of these occurring (frequency) is unknown:
Digestive symptoms such as nausea and vomiting
Skin reactions such as a rash or itching
There have been isolated reports of side effects occurring with use of products (including confectionery) containing liquorice such as low blood potassium levels, irregular heartbeat and high blood pressure. These however, have not been seen with use of Bronchoforce.
If any of the side effects become serious, or if you notice any side effects not listed above, please tell your doctor or pharmacist.

PLEASE NOTE: Dispatch time is between 3-5 days. You will receive an email to confirm your order has left our warehouse. Once we have dispatched, unfortunately the time it takes to reach you is out of our control. Delivery times can vary from country to country. We can give you an estimated time only. The postal service we use is ANPOST and we use their transit estimator: http://postage.anpost.ie/transit.asp which gives an estimated transit time from Ireland to your country. Transit times vary according to the size and weight of a package.

- To Ireland: 1-2 business days after dispatch. Courier transit times are generally 24 hours, max 48 hours.
- To the UK: 2-4 business days after dispatch.
- Within Europe: 3-8 working days after dispatch.
- To other international countries: 5-12 working days after dispatch.

IMPORTANT: It's advisable to order in advance of any personal requirements such as birthday/gift/college course deadlines to allow for dispatch and transit time.
We include your email address and phone number on the postal label so as if there is an issue with delivery, it may be a point of contact for the person delivering. If you wish for this information not to be included on your label, please state this in the Note Section at the time of ordering.

Courier Service: within 32 Counties of Ireland
We offer a delivery service option using courier. Please ensure you provide the correct contact telephone number when ordering so as the courier can reach you upon delivery. The courier will call you before delivery therefore it's important to answer the call. Average Delivery time is between 24-48 hours from the time of dispatch.
Lost or Delayed Packages (Standard Post)
99% of the time, standard post is very effective and efficient. In the event that a customer reports a package undelivered after the estimated time of delivery (http://postage.anpost.ie/transit.asp), we then aim to track the delayed or missing package with ANPOST parcel, "missing parcel investigation". This will ensure we find out where exactly the item is e.g. if it's been delivered and where to. The system has proven very effective for us. Please note: we cannot send out a repeat order/refund until we retrieve the missing item.
Note: The company will not be responsible for missing items should you give postal instruction other than your own address such as "if not in, leave in rubbish bin at back of house" or "leave in neighbour's porch" or any instructions of such nature.
Delayed Packages could be due to a slow transit country. This can vary according to customs and post office policies in each country. In our experience, the following countries can take longer than 12-26 days: Germany, Italy, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Middle Eastern countries, South Africa, India and Pakistan.
We cannot file a missing parcel claim until this time period has passed as your parcel may still be in transit.
Returned Packages as a result of “Not being picked up” or “Not possible to deliver to customer”.
Should we receive a parcel which has been undelivered and returned to us, we will notify you. In this instance, payment will be required to resend the item. Should you not wish for the item to be resent, credit or a refund will be issued less original shipping charges.
If you wish to return a product you have purchased from our website, please first read all of the sections of our Returns and Refunds customer service pages to ensure your products can be returned and for any specific information pertaining to your purchase.
RETURNS BY POST OR COURIER
Please make sure we receive your returned items, within 14 days from the day you receive them, to be refunded in full via the original payment method.
If you return your purchase after this period but within 28 days, you will be refunded with a Dolans Pharmacy E-Voucher to the value of the returned items.
We are unable to exchange products by post. We do process exchanges in our store, so you may bring your items to our store for an exchange if you wish (see below).
RETURNING TO OUR STORE
Please bring the items you wish to return to our Pharmacy, within 14 days from the day you receive them, to be refunded in full via the original payment method.
If you return your purchase after this period but within 28 days, you may exchange the item for other merchandise or a Dolans Pharmacy Gift voucher to the value of the returned items.

RETURNING PRODUCTS OUTSIDE THE RETURNS PERIOD
If you return your purchase by post or courier after the periods outlined above (with the exception of faulty or damaged goods), we reserve the right not to offer you a refund in full.
We may instead return your purchase to you. Prior to sending it, you will be charged the delivery fee applicable to the products and your location.
Our refund policy does not affect your statutory rights in respect of faulty or damaged goods.
PROOF OF PURCHASE
No refund or exchange will be given without a receipt, dispatch note or other proof of purchase.
TAKING CARE OF OUR GOODS
You will naturally wish to inspect the products you order. However, whilst you are deciding whether to keep your purchases, you do have a statutory duty to take reasonable care of the goods.
Therefore, please ensure you do not damage the items (or the packaging where it forms part of the goods, for example, boxed products and gift items) and, if you wish to return anything, that it reaches us in perfect condition.
Where you have failed to take reasonable care of the goods, whether whilst in your possession or when returning them, we reserve the right to refund you in full less any amount due by way of compensation, to either repair the goods or to cover any loss.
Products that cannot be returned.
The following items cannot be returned within the terms of our refund policy:
- Dolans Pharmacy Gift Vouchers
- Pierced earrings
- Made-to-measure goods (such as personalised giftware)
- Products that have been reduced or that are part of a sale.
- Free items
Other items may be added to this list from time to time. This does not affect your statutory rights in respect of faulty, incorrect or damaged goods.
In addition, the following items can only be returned within our refund policy providing it is in its original condition (including the packaging where it forms part of the goods, for example, boxed goods and gift items) and for hygiene or safety reasons have not been worn, opened, assembled or used and any seals on the product remain unbroken:

REFUNDING DELIVERY CHARGES
Provided you have notified us in writing that you wish to cancel your order under the Consumer Contract Regulations, and the return also meets the terms of our Online Returns & Refund Policy, you will be entitled to a full refund including delivery charges if applicable.
We are unable to provide a refund of the delivery charges when only part of your order is being cancelled.
PROMOTIONAL DISCOUNTS AND RETURNS
If you used a promotional discount when paying for your order, the discount is applied to each item in the basket. In the event of a return, you will not be refunded the discounted amount.
