Eucalyptus Citriadora is a tall evergreen tree. In common with other Eucalyptus species, Eucalyptus Citriodora (Lemon-scented Eucalyptus) is originally from Australia but is now cultivated mainly in China and Brazil.
Use 8-10 drops of Eucalyptus Citriodora in a diffuser or burner to ward off insects. Alternatively, dilute 5 drops of Eucalyptus Citriodora in 10ml Absolute Aromas Coconut oil (do not use the unfractionated or solid version, apply a light coating to exposed areas of skin. Avoid the eyes and mouth.)
To refresh and cleanse tired feet, add 3 drops of Eucalyptus Citriodora, 1 drop of Cypress and 2 drops of Tea Tree to a bowl of warm water or footbath/spa and soak for ten minutes.
Eucalyptus Citriodora is often used as a minor ingredient in soap and detergent perfumes to add freshness and is commonly the active ingredient in natural insect repellents. There are around 80 species of Commiphora, the resin is collected from these thorny shrubs which are up to 3 meters in height.
Myrrh has acquired a reputation as a healer over the centuries and as such can be beneficial when used in inhalations to help ease winter ills.
Place 1 drop each of Myrrh, Benzoin and Lavender in a bowl of boiling water. Drape a towel across your head and shoulders and inhale the vapours for a few minutes.
Try blending 1 drop of Myrrh, 2 drops of Geranium and 1 drop of Peppermint in 10ml of Coconut oil to use as a massage oil on neglected feet.
Myrrh is extremely viscous, and therefore more difficult to use. We use a larger dropper for this oil, but with time it may solidify. The only solution is to warm the oil gently in the hands before use, and to be patient!

Eucalyptus Globulus is extremely useful during the winter months. It can be very effective in a steam inhalation.
Try adding 2 drops Eucalyptus, 1 drop Roman Chamomile and 1 drop Lavender to a bowl of just-boiled water. Lean over the bowl (not too close) with a towel covering your head and inhale the vapours for a few minutes. Alternatively, blend the same oils in two teaspoons of Sweet Almond oil and massage into the chest and back.
Blended with Citronella or Cedarwood in an oil burner, Eucalyptus can help maintain an insect-free BBQ! Lemongrass has a fresh, clean, citrus aroma.
Lemongrass is produced from two totally distinct botanical species of Cymbopogon. Citratus is found only under cultivation, particularly in Guatemala. Despite early origins in Sri Lanka and India, it is sometimes confusingly referred to as West Indian Lemongrass. The other type is Cymbopogon Flexuosus which is only cultivated in relatively limited areas of India, particularly Kerala.
Try adding one drop each of Lemongrass, Lavender and Geranium to a bowl of warm water and soaking tired feet for 10 minutes.
A few drops of Lemongrass and Cedarwood in an oil burner will help keep insects away during the summer months.
