Description

Glutarol Wart & Verruca Treatment is designed to treat warts and verrucas. It works by killing the virus that causes warts or verrucaS with a paint solution. It dries the wart/verruca and surrounding skin, so helping to prevent the infection from spreading.

Warts and Verrucas are small excessive growths of skin caused by a type of virus and if left untreated, the virus will spread. It can also be transferred from one person to another.

How to Use

  • Suitable to use by adults, children and the elderly.
  • Only use Glutarol for warts/verrucas that your doctor or pharmacist has recommended it.

Repeat the below steps twice daily until the wart or verruca disappears:

STEP 1– Soak the affected area in hot, soapy water for 2-3 minutes.

STEP 2– Dry the area thoroughly with your own towel (this will help stop the infection from spreading to other people)

STEP 3– Gently rub away any loose hard skin from the surface of the wart or verruca with an emery board or a piece of pumice stone.

STEP 4– Unscrew the cap of the bottle, and using the applicator attached to the inside of the cap, carefully apply two coats of the paint to the top of the wart or verruca only.

The length of the treatment varies depending on the size and resistance of the wart or verruca. Some warts/verrucas can require up to 12 weeks of treatment.

Active ingredient is glutaraldehyde.

Directions For Use

Soak the wart in warm water for 5 minutes prior to application. Dry gently using a towel that will not be used by anyone else to avoid contamination. Gently file the wart with an emery board or pumice stone to remove hard skin. Carefully apply the solution to the wart. Be careful not to touch the surrounding healthy skin. Allow to dry thoroughly before covering with a plaster. Continue treatment until either the wart has cleared completely and normal skin ridge lines can be seen, or the wart has been treated for 12 weeks.

Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes. Do not inhale the vapour. Do not use on damaged or irritated skin. Avoid contact with clothing, fabric and plastics as well as jewellery. Do not use on open skin wounds, moles, birthmarks, warts with hairs growing from them, warts on the face or those near the anal or genital areas, and do not use on warts with red edges or those with an unusual colour.
