This baking powder contains sodium bicarbonate, the classic raising agent used in baking for over a hundred years. Normally sodium bicarbonate needs an acidic environment to facilitate growth, so you need to include something like lemon juice for it to work, but this baking powder includes organic corn starch and calcium phosphate which enables it to work without any additional ingredients. Baking powder can be used in any baked good which need rising, whether you are making cakes and sponges, breads or scones, and is suitable for gluten free baking. Ingredients  Mono calcium phosphate, corn starch*, sodium bicarbonate. * denotes organic produce.In no time at all, you’ll be indulging in warm, dreamy, soft, chocolate sponge that’s unbelievably sugar-, gluten- and egg-free. Simply tip the Cake in a cup sachet into a cup or mug, add 1/4 a cup of water (50g), pop in the microwave for one minute on full power, and enjoy a just-baked, healthier chocolate treat. Tips:
  • Add some berries, chopped nuts or sugar-free chocolate
  • Use coffee instead of some of the water for a mocha cake, or try using milk
  • For more flavours, try adding some orange or mint essence
