Sweet Orange has a wonderful warm, citrus aroma, to calm the mind and uplift the mood. The oil is well known to calm digestive problems. It has similar relaxing properties to that of Mandarin and Bergamot.

Method of Extraction: The oil is expressed from the peel of the fruit.

Main Theraputic Properties: Antispasmodic, Calmative, Digestive stimulant, Stomachic, Antiseptic.

Contraindications: Non toxic and non irritant in prescribed doses.

Oil Appearance: Pale Yellow to Amber.

Brazil is by far the biggest producer, dominating the market. After careful selection of a number of good quality Orange oils, Absolute Aromas selected this exceptionally mouth-watering Spanish oil reminiscent of juicy oranges.

For a heart-warming bath, blend 2 drops of Sweet Orange, 3 drops of Lavender and 2 drops of Benzoin in a teaspoon of Peach Kernel oil, add to a hot bath for a long soak!

For the perfect Christmas atmosphere, blend 3 drops of Sweet Orange, 2 drops of Frankincense and I drop of Clove to the water in an oil burner.

Chinese Element: Water (& Metal) Juniper is a prickly evergreen shrub (or small tree). It grows to a height of up to 12 meters. Juniperberry has a bittersweet, fresh, astringent aroma. There are two types of oil produced from the Juniper plant. One is the superior quality Juniperberry oil, made from the berries. The other type is often referred to as Juniper oil, an inferior product distilled from the twigs and leaves.  Some Juniper oils are produced as a by-product of the fermentation process. Our Juniperberry oil is steam distilled from premier-grade Juniper berries, giving an excellent, high quality oil, ideal for aromatherapy. The Juniper fruits are widely used for gin production. Try a vigorous massage with a blend of 2 drops of Juniperberry and 2 drops of Grapefruit in 10ml of Coconut oil. Or add this to an unfragranced shower gel, the same essential oils have a cleansing and refreshing effect. Main Theraputic Properties: Antiseptic, Digestive stimulant, Lymphatic decongestant. Contraindications: Avoid exposure to direct sunlight and sunbed rays for 12 hours after application (phototoxic). Oil Appearance: Yellow-Green. Chakra: Solar Plexus & Sacral. Chinese Element: Wood (& Earth) Grapefruit comes from a cultivated tree that grows up to 10 meters in height. Grapefruit has a fresh, sweet, clean citrus scent. The main origins for Grapefruit are Italy, Israel and USA, though now South Africa is coming strongly into the market.  We have selected this excellent American product for its clean, fresh odour. If you need a pick-me-up first thing in the morning, try adding 3 drops of Grapefruit, 2 drops of Rosemary and 1 drop of Bergamot, blended in a teaspoon of Sweet Almond oil, to a bath. Alternatively stir the same essential oils into a dose of unfragranced shower gel. To improve the appearance of cellulite, blend 3 drops of Grapefruit and 3 drops of Juniperberry with 15ml of Coconut oil and massage the area vigorously. Always try to work in the direction of the heart. In a burner or diffuser, Grapefruit blends well with the other citrus oils and herbs such as Rosemary, Clary Sage, Thyme or Lavender.

Tee Tree is a small tree that grows up to 7 meters in height.

Try adding 25 drops to a bottle of shower gel for a really cleansing experience.

For problem skin, blend 2 drops of Tea Tree in 5ml (a teaspoon) of Jojoba oil - apply twice daily.

Try a weekly steam facial using 1 drop of Tea Tree with 2 drops of Mandarin in a bowl of just-boiled water. Tea Tree may irritate some sensitive skins and, although a very small amount may be dabbed neat on spots, insect bites and cold sores, most people would not recommend this for sensitive skin types.

To help keep feet fresh and healthy, try using 2 drops of Tea Tree with 2 drops of Lemon in a foot bath.

To maintain healthy hair for children and adults alike, dilute 5 drops of Tea Tree, 3 drops of Geranium and 2 drops of Lavender in 20ml of Coconut oil. Massage into the scalp and leave for as long as possible before washing out thoroughly with a mild shampoo.

The oil is a by-product of the use of Sandalwood for figurines and furniture, which is very popular, especially in the Far East.

Sandalwood has long been used as a perfume by both men and women and is popularly used in homemade massage blends to create a sensual atmosphere.

For a wonderfully mellow massage oil, blend 3 drops of Sandalwood, 2 drops of Roman Chamomile and a drop of Frankincense in 20ml of Absolute Aromas Peach Kernel oil.
